OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
The Office of the Registry, Enugu Campus is administered by a Deputy Registrar on behalf of the Registrar. It is an extension of the Main Registrar’s Office at Nsukka Campus. The goals and objectives of Enugu Campus Registry are very similar to those of the main Registry at Nsukka Campus.
The Office therefore performs the same functions though on a smaller scale as that of the Main Registry at Nsukka. Generally, such functions are performed by the following Units:

1. CENTRAL REGISTRY UNIT
Key Functions
a) Co-ordinates the activities of the various units to ensure the performance of their key functions and proffer solution to the Challenges of the units.
b) General Administration Matters:
(a) Attending to daily correspondences.
(b) Supervision, Control and discipline of staff
(c) Summoning of meetings as and when necessary
(d) Classroom Maintenance
(e) Attendance to staff and students’ problems
(f) Co-ordination of purchases/maintenance and repairs of office equipment and materials.

My name is Roseline Iruoma Ojinta, and I am currently a Principal Assistant Registrar in charge of the Examinations Unit, of the Enugu Campus of the University of Nigeria. At the Examination’s Unit, I coordinate and manage the staff of the Unit. I engage in planning, organizing, overseeing and ensuring the efficient running of the Unit. I plan, schedule and oversee the process and timeliness of production of undergraduate results for Faculty Boards and Senate approvals. I am self-directed, motivated and demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a team player. I maintain open and interpersonal relationship with colleagues and have the ability to demonstrate high sense of emotional intelligence.
I obtained my PhD in management with specialty in Leadership and Organizational Change from Walden University, USA in November, 2018. I obtained a Master’s Degree in Global Human Resource Management from University of Liverpool in 2013. I also have a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
I have worked in different capacity in the University of Nigeria as Administrative Officer in charge of the Vice-Chancellor’s office annex in Enugu campus. I have also been the head of Personnel Services Department of Enugu Campus of the University. I have been in charge of student’s enrollment, advising and administrative head of the Faculty of Law of the University. I have also been Head of Careers and Student Services of the University. At present, I took over the Office of Head of Registry (Enugu Campus) from Barr. C.I. Onodugo in August 2020.
I am a member of Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators (ANUPA). I have Golden Key International Honours Awards and National Society of Leadership and Success Award both from the United States of America.
As a highly driven professional, I enjoy the challenge of complex and demanding assignments. I strongly believe that my skills, education, background, and work ethic perfectly fit, and affords me the opportunity to excel as part of any team.
I am married with four kids.
2. ADMISSIONS UNIT
Key Functions
1. Verification of O’ Level Certificates.
2. Issuing of full clearance to student that satisfy both Departmental and University entry requirements.
3. Processing of re-admission applications for students who deferred their admissions for health, financial or other personal problems.
4. Computation of result of Evening programme students of the Faculty of Business Administration.
5. Collation of transcripts of direct entry students.
DESK OFFICER: OGBUABOR, PERPETUA EBERE (SENIOR ASSISANT REGISTRAR)
MRS. PERPETUA EBERE OGBUABOR
NCE, BSc (Pol Sc) MCAI, FCIA
Mrs. Ogbuabor, Perpetua Ebere is currently a Senior Assistant Registrar and the Unit Head of Admissions Unit, Registrar’s Office, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She has been in the services of the University since September, 2008, when she was first appointed as an Administrative Assistant. She was the Faculty Officer of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus between 2009 and 2014. Prior to joining the services of the University of Nigeria, she was a part-time lecturer at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu.
She has a B.Sc. in Political Science which she obtained in 2001 from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She also has an NCE certificate from Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu.
She is a Member of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA); Member of the Institute of Corporate Administration; and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administrators.
She has served in a number of University Committees and attended several conferences and workshops on administration and capacity-building.
In December 2013, she was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Performance of Duty by the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Ituku Ozalla.
She is happily married with children.
3. EXAMINATIONS UNIT
Key Functions
1. Processing of Final year examination results and presentation for Senate Approval.
2. Receiving of files of graduating students from Records Unit.
3. Procurement and distribution of examination scripts.
4. Presentation of final year examination results to Faculty Boards for approval.
5. Processing of Semester examination results
6. Handling of students’ academic problems (e.g. adding and dropping of courses, cases of overstay, un-registered courses, external candidate matters) etc.
4. CAREERS AND STUDENT SERVICES UNIT
Key Functions:
1. N.Y.S.C. mobilization: Data collection and processing.
2. Matters relating to Verification of Certificates, statement of results and transcripts as requested by establishments, Institutions locally and internationally.
3. Issuance of degree certificates and statement of results.
4. Custody of unclaimed degree Certificates.
5. Issuance of N.Y.S.C. exemption and exclusion letters.
6. Issuance of attestation and /Recommendation Letters.
7. Matters relating to the Verification of names of Students’ submitted for scholarship.
8. Responsible for change of name of students.
DESK OFFICER: BARR. OBINNA CHINENYE NWOGWUGWU (SENIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR)
Obinna Chinenye Nwogwugwu born September 12, 1978. He is from Amapu Ntigha in Isiala Ngwa North LGA in Abia state. Mr Nwogwugwu is a legal practitioner and administrator.
He attended Urban Boys Secondary School Enugu for his West Africa School Certificate and passed with credit. He is a graduate of Law from the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus and he obtained L.L.B in Law with a second-class lower division in 2002. In 2003, he attended the Nigeria Law School Bwari in Abuja where he got a Bachelor at Law degree (B.L.) and was called to the Nigerian Bar by the Body of Benchers on 1ST July 2003.
In 2018, he studied Maritime Law and Policy for his post graduate and acquired a Master of Science degree M.Sc. with a CGPA of 4.2
Mr. Nwogwugwu worked extensively as a legal practitioner in many chambers which are Anyanwu & Co; Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and also with Tochukwu Maduka & Co; Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He started as Assistant Administrative Officer in the office of the Registrar University of Nigeria Enugu Campus in 2008 and rose to the post of Senior Assistant Registrar in 2017. He is currently the Head of Unit Careers and Students Services University of Nigeria Enugu Campus. He has worked in many capacities in the university including as Faculty officer for the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology and also Faculty of Business Administration.

5. RECORDS AND STATISTICS
Key Functions
1. Digitization of records of graduates of the University for the 1 – transcript.
2. Collection and filing of students’ academic materials e.g. registrations forms etc.
3. Collection of data on students and preparation of statistics of all registered students every session.
4. Keeps custody of ceremonial gowns see to the distribution and return of the gown after the ceremonies (matriculation and convocation).
5. Keeps custody of the files of graduates of the University.

Ifeoma Winifred Ugwu is the Head of Unit, Records and Statistics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu Campus, Nigeria’s first indigenous University, established in 1960. She oversees the operations of Transcripts, Registration documents of students, Matriculation and statistics of all the students of Enugu Campus.
Before now, Barr. Ugwu worked with the Industrial Training Fund, where she rose to the rank of a Training Development Officer II. She has over ten years’ experience in public service.
Ifeoma Winifred has the following academic qualifications: Barrister –at – Law (BL), The Nigerian Law School (2008) ; Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2007); B.A (Hons) in Languages and Linguistics, University of Jos (1990) ; West African School Certificate (WAEC) (1985).
Other qualifications include a certificate in Information and Communication Technology. (AFRIHUB).
She is a Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria (2019) and Fellow Institute of Industrial Administration of Nigeria (2019). Member, Association of Nigeria University Professional Administration (ANUPA) and Nigeria Bar Association (NBA). Member “Federacion Internacional de Abogadas” (FIDA).
She is married with children.

MRS. MAUREEN NKEM ANIKWE,

Mrs. Maureen Nkem Anikwe is currently serving as an Assistant Registrar in charge of the Personnel Services Unit of the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus since July 2016. Before that, she served as an administrative officer at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Medical Sciences of the College of Medicine, the University of Nigeria at its Ituku-Ozalla Office.
Maureen Nkem Anikwe obtained a Nigerian Certificate of Education in 1995, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cooperative and Rural Development in 1999 from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. This was followed by a Postgraduate Diploma Certificate (Management) in 2004, Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Management) in 2006 and also a Master of Science Degree in Management from The University of Nigeria in 2014. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Human Resource Management at the University of Nigeria.
Mrs. Anikwe is a Fellow, Institute of Industrial Administration of Nigeria, Member, Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and a Professional Teacher with Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria.
